Truth? Hardly a politick move!

Article 3. Not too many bridges, but one hell of a wall.

Obviously, the presidency is what we're all currently wondering about. For instance, wouldn't an insurrection that installed the cast of Winnie the Pooh be a solid move toward sanity? Or maybe better said, Eeyore would be an improvement over our endless cycle of Rabbit, then Tigger, back to Rabbit... For instance, consider an infamous change of office, metaphorically:

One presidential office, an Eagle Scout's inner voice, hand-wringingly,
"Shit, you have got to be kidding me; there aren't any good options?!"

Quickly converted to the next presidential office, a mesmerizing isolated Podium,
"I, the greatest ever prerogative erection, taste exactly like beautiful strawberries, but also so big, you couldn't possibly get me into your mouth to find out!!"

Bear in mind, the existential abyss opened by these two methods of addressing the job of "Leader of the Free World" can be seen from outer space, sucking hearts and minds into that vacuum. In desperation, we'll clutch onto any anchor, mindlessly spinning its way to the bottom.
"Quite enough!" Back to merely disheartening. Where we now find that capricious shell-game encouraging an increased presence of right-wing ideology. Which by and large does not look like a conservative point of view, but rather, it is strictly attached to convenient aspects of that platform while shitcanning anything of substance. The dysfunction we find in our political and social structure is playing into the hands of the stridently right-wing elements of our country. A narrow persuasion, oddly focused, their smoke-and-mirror approach to problem solving. And one might note, every ideologue's dream come true. That is to say, everyone is taking advantage of the situation.
Add to that our incoherent foreign policies, and there isn't enough petroleum jelly in the world to offset the penetrating pain that awaits us (fortunately, we have put China in charge of making flags, easily switching to their preferred). Yet hopefully, the current situation in the western world is acting as a wake-up call. Our liberal democracies are being chipped away at, our liberties just a step away, and realizing pursuit of happiness won't get it done. I seem to recall something about the hard work of relationships, like, we're all in this together.  Fortunately, we just have one thing to deal with, as the systemic dysfunction is most certainly a bigger problem than the carnage left by a particular office of POTUS, really, the root cause.
Take for example, US immigration, a hill no one will patriotically consider dying on. While easily ignoring that the whole country is slowly dying for lack of workforce. In 2017, the President of the US Chamber of Commerce pointed out that the decades-old and current tightening of immigration, in eliminating that workforce, is decimating small businesses. Which, as I see it, is established as policy. With one side of the congressional aisle fear mongering and both sides endlessly pointing fingers; decisively sending the whole country to the bottom as we all flail on a stringer. Harsher yet, the commerce of politics and corporate power, quite easily promoting the death of that obnoxious small-business competition; like shooting fish in a barrel.

"Whatever," as I'm quickly waved aside, "may have heard, we are building a Wall"!
Ok, fine. But maybe we should examine that, just for laughs and giggles.

The "Wall!" became a thing in a 2016 Texas rally campaign-team discussion, "We're not focusing enough on immigration, blah blah ...  Well, how about a wall?" You can chant it, imagine it, and best of all, it's a building project for a Tonka Truck wielding candidate. People in that room didn't have to know a goddamn thing about immigration to see that it was brilliant.
In reality, a wall does not stop (2016's description of Mexicans, %!#^*), rather, families, especially women and children, are stopped; dead. Prompting the question, "Ok, but then how do all the %!#^* get past our Wall"? Connections to organized crime walks %!#^* right past our Wall. Not to mention, becoming a new revenue stream for that crime element as they leverage the wall, largely against American interests. One needs to wonder who the actual puppeteer is in these situations. Clearly, our strategic initiative with Mexico should be to eliminate the crime element on our border. But instead, we're reinforcing its supremacy as they corner the market on entrance to the US. In other words, almost no one gets in legally, so the only realistic option to entering the US requires the help of organized crime!
With the obscured results of the "Wall!" leaving ample room for political spin, seeing how the ~ truth ~ isn't. One hardly needs to imagine, "Not to worry, as a truly christian outcome will play out. We predict that those families, especially women and children, will be totally exposed to the rape and pillage of that crime element. On their side of the border, thank god!" When anything can become the Truth; diablos.
A Glorious Wall, yet someone must stir the excrement it produces. "So, what about all the money we spent on that stupid wall? We need to somehow blame the other side of the aisle for this waste! Come to think of it, we are almost out of here. 'Anyone have one of those doggy poop bags?'" Turns out, the current Official Border Crossing Interdiction (needed to actually stop %!#^*), is in desperate need of money, but you can't chant that or imagine that. And that Tonka Truck guy really likes walls (after all, he can chant it, imagine it).

Again, quite enough! The above is only minimally significant - just a political ploy gone awry and a symptom of entrenched dysfunction. We like to believe that the whole problem is the party and the person in charge, but I hope we are beginning to see that by itself this won’t solve the problems we face. A lack of truth from any source, along with the ends justifying the means, decimates all of the more challenging relationships.  It also makes natural relationships focus on diabolical means while obscuring the truth. Leading to ends that are, at best, severely compromised, more often than not, driven by an overactive sense of smell.
